About me

I am Ciel Belandria (Belandraw), an illustrator and visual storyteller specializing in Magical Realism. My work is a journey through oniric atmospheres, where Queer identity and contemporary narratives meet a highly symbolic and ornamental aesthetic rich in detail. With a solid background in the creative industry, I have developed a versatile technical career. I have specialized in merchandising design, coloring book, backgrounds, props, and concept art for animation, collaborating with iconic names such as Rush, Tenacious D, Ozzy Osbourne, and Frank Zappa, as well as digital platforms like Good Mythical Morning.

A milestone in my career was Finalist in the Uniqlo x Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum competition 2023, where I translated my personal vision into a global commercial product. This experience defines my professional core: the ability to combine high-level technical production with a unique, soulful authorship. Whether through editorial projects or commercial collaborations, I aim to invite the viewer to find magic in the mundane.
