About me

I'm Ciel Belandria (Belandraw), an illustrator and visual storyteller specializing in magical realism. My work is a journey through oneiric atmospheres, where queer identity and contemporary narratives meet a highly symbolic and ornamental aesthetic, rich in detail. With a solid background in the creative industry, I have built a versatile technical career: I specialize in merchandise design, coloring books, backgrounds, props and concept art for animation, and I have worked on projects for iconic names such as Rush, Tenacious D, Ozzy Osbourne and Frank Zappa, as well as digital platforms like Good Mythical Morning.

​A milestone in my career was being named a finalist in the 2023 Uniqlo x Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum competition, where I translated my personal vision into a commercial product. That experience defines my professional core: the ability to combine high-level technical production with a distinctive, soulful authorship. Whether in editorial projects or commercial collaborations, I aim to invite the viewer to find magic in the everyday.
